Song of the Week: Camila Cabello's "Never Be the Same"

Look up Billboard's Top Charts for "Album" and "Hot 100", and you'll find one name - Camila Cabello. The former Fifth Harmony member's debut solo album, Camila, is #1 on Billboard for the second week, and her hit single, "Havana" shot up to the #1 spot of the "Hot 100" after 23 weeks on the chart. Basically, Camila is not going anywhere anytime soon, and her second single only further proves that point.
The new single titled ,"Never Be the Same" is a mid-tempo ballad co-written by Cabello and tells the story of someone who gets addicted to a new love as if they were a drug. The result? Life will never be the same. The topic isn't necessarily new or innovative (but what is these days). However, the composition, Cabello's delivery, and the hook really capture the listener and bring them in to that feeling of love's intoxication.
